Krystal Pereira
Krystal graduated from East Carolina University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a certification in Child Welfare. After graduation, she moved to Asheville and began her career with the Department of Social Services as a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigator, serving families across Buncombe, Madison, and Henderson counties.
While working with DSS, she pursued her graduate education through the University of Tennessee–Knoxville, completing her Master of Science in Social Work in 2023 and earning a Trauma Treatment Certification.
Since 2023, Krystal has been working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A), providing mental health services for children in foster care. She is currently in the process of obtaining certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to further support the families she serves.
